The inn is 5 minutes drive along Lake Winnipesaukee to Weirs Beach, with the largest sand beach on the lake, a boardwalk, eateries, arcade and shops and rides, and the Mount Washington cruise ship with its scenic daytime sightseeing rides and nighttime moonlight dinner dance cruises. Boat and jet ski rentals also are available.

The 1 1/2-hour drive around the lake takes you through the shops and marina walk in Meredith, Keepsake Quilting our favorite canoe and kayak rental in Center Harbor, by the curiously incredible Old Country Store in Moultonboro, the historic and calming beauty of Castle in the Clouds overlooking the lake, and delightful Wolfeboro.

A short walk from the inn brings you to a secluded beach or a short or long walk along the lake. Other 30- to 60-minute hikes are only 20 minutes away up Rattlesnake Mountain overlooking pristine Squam Lake or Mount Major and Red Hill, both overlooking Winnipesaukee.

Go-Karts, batting cages and miniature golf are less than 5 minutes from the inn, along with Funspot, with bingo and bowling and one of the largest arrays of electronic games in the world.

And there are 3 summer theaters, antique shops, craft stores and quilt shops, also only minutes away.

Oh, don't forget the 50 Tanger Outlet stores 25 minutes away.

And after a wonderful day of fun and exploration, how about a lawn chair and a glass of wine before visiting one of the dozens of good restaurants 5-15 minutes away, and several of the best ones offer discounts to our guests.
